1. General
These Terms of Service govern the use of the SportApp service (“Service”). The Service is provided by Appis Oy (“Service Provider”).
SportApp is a digital platform designed to enable the organization and management of sports tournaments and leagues, including related results services and communication.
In these terms, “Organizer” refers to an entity using the Service to organize tournaments or leagues.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Users and Access Rights
Only Organizers and persons authorized by them may register for the Service.
The Organizer is responsible for:
- the use of its user accounts
- the actions of users it has authorized
- ensuring that all information entered into the Service is accurate and up to date
Teams, players, or other participants do not have their own user accounts in the Service.
3. Use of the Service
The Service may only be used for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service.
The user agrees not to:
- use the Service in a way that may harm the Service or other users
- submit false or misleading information
- violate any applicable laws or regulations
The Service Provider reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Service if these terms are violated.
4. User Accounts and Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their login credentials.
The Service Provider is not liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized use of user accounts.
5. Payments and Payment Services
The Service may be used to process payments, for example in connection with tournament registrations or ticket sales.
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (Stripe).
The Service Provider:
- does not act as a payment institution
- is not a party to transactions between the Organizer and the payer
- is not responsible for payment processing
Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the payment service provider.
The Organizer is responsible for:
- pricing
- refunds
- customer relationships
- compliance with applicable taxes and legal obligations
6. Content and Data
The Organizer is responsible for all content entered into the Service, including:
- match data
- schedules
- team and results information
The Organizer retains ownership of its content.
The Service Provider has the right to use data entered into the Service for:
- providing the Service
- developing the Service
- statistical and analytical purposes
Such use may be carried out in an anonymized form.
7. Service Availability
The Service Provider aims to keep the Service available at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” basis.
The Service Provider is not liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages
- loss of data
- services provided by third parties (such as payment providers)
9. Changes to the Terms
The Service Provider reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service.
The current version of the Terms is always available within the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland.
